IL House Voters Registration Bill 4339 Passes: its impact on Young Adults in DuPage

Of the nearly 700,000 registered voters in DuPage County, 25% or 175,000 are young adults.

That breaks down to 10.3% age 17-25 and another 15.6% age 26-35.

With the passing of House Bill 4339 (expected to pass through the IL Senate too), school districts with grades 9 through 12 will be required to provide all eligible students graduating from high school with the opportunity to register to vote.

This will likely increase the number of 17- and 18-year-olds registered to vote.
